Effective During Pilot Phase
EZSchoolRide is operated by Bridgeway Innovations LLC in Illinois. EZSchoolRide is currently an invitation-only carpool coordination pilot within select school communities.
During the current pilot, EZSchoolRide does not process ride payments. EZPoints, where used, are non-monetary and have no cash value.
By accessing or using EZSchoolRide, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you are under 18, parent or guardian involvement or permission may be required before you participate in the pilot or use certain features.
EZSchoolRide is not intended for, and does not permit participation by, children under 13.
EZSchoolRide helps approved participants coordinate carpools within participating school communities.
EZSchoolRide is a technology coordination platform. It is not a transportation provider, does not operate vehicles, and does not employ drivers.
Carpool arrangements are made between participants. Participants and families are responsible for deciding whether a particular driver, rider, route, or carpool arrangement is appropriate for them.
When using EZSchoolRide, participants agree to:
EZSchoolRide may restrict or remove access when reasonably necessary to protect participants, address misuse, or operate the pilot.
Anyone who drives as part of a carpool is responsible for complying with applicable driving laws and requirements, including maintaining any driver's license and automobile insurance required by law.
EZSchoolRide does not supervise drivers or rides and does not control how a participant operates a vehicle.
EZSchoolRide does not provide automobile insurance for rides coordinated through the platform. Drivers and vehicle owners are responsible for understanding whether their own insurance applies to their participation.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for transportation decisions involving their minor children.
Participants must not use EZSchoolRide in connection with unsafe, threatening, harassing, fraudulent, or unlawful conduct.
Safety, privacy, or platform concerns may be reported to:
support@ezschoolride.comEZSchoolRide may review reported concerns and take appropriate action, including restricting or removing access to the pilot.
EZSchoolRide does not monitor rides in real time and is not an emergency-response service.
For an emergency or immediate threat to safety, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency authority.
During the current pilot:
If payment-related platform features are introduced in the future, applicable terms and disclosures will be updated before those features are made available.
Use of EZSchoolRide is also subject to the EZSchoolRide Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected during the pilot, how that information may be used and shared, and the choices available to participants and parents or guardians.
EZSchoolRide is still being developed and evaluated.
Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed during the pilot. The platform may occasionally experience errors, interruptions, or unavailable features.
We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or operate without interruption.
Carpooling involves risks associated with transportation and interaction with other participants.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, EZSchoolRide and Bridgeway Innovations LLC are not responsible for the actions or omissions of individual drivers, riders, parents, guardians, or other participants, or for accidents, injuries, property damage, or other losses resulting from transportation arrangements between participants.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would not be permitted by applicable law.
EZSchoolRide may suspend or terminate participation in the pilot when reasonably necessary, including for:
Participants may also stop using EZSchoolRide and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
Because EZSchoolRide is in a pilot phase, these Terms may change as the platform develops.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, subject to any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived or limited.
