2. Description of Services

EZSchoolRide is a school-community-based peer-to-peer carpool coordination platform that connects high school student riders with licensed student drivers and licensed parent drivers within the same school community.

EZSchoolRide:

• Does not provide transportation services
• Does not own, lease, or operate vehicles
• Does not employ drivers

EZSchoolRide provides technology tools that facilitate ride coordination, communication, safety features, and payments.

3. Eligibility & Age Requirements

EZSchoolRide is intended only for users aged 14 and above.

By using the Services, you confirm that:

• You are at least 14 years old
• You are affiliated with a high school community
• You understand that users under the age of 13 are strictly prohibited from accessing or using EZSchoolRide

Users are responsible for ensuring their use of the Services complies with applicable laws, school policies, and parental or guardian requirements.

4. Account Registration

To use EZSchoolRide, users must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

EZSchoolRide reserves the right to:

• Verify user information
• Suspend or terminate accounts that contain false, misleading, or incomplete information
• Remove users who violate these Terms or compromise community safety

5. Platform Features & User Responsibility

EZSchoolRide may provide features including:

• Ride requests and scheduling
• GPS tracking during active rides
• In-app notifications and updates
• Driver and rider ratings

All users acknowledge and agree that:

• Drivers and riders are solely responsible for their conduct
• Drivers must comply with all applicable traffic, licensing, and safety laws
• EZSchoolRide is not responsible for user behavior, driving decisions, or vehicle condition

6. Payments & Digital Wallet

Payments and wallet transactions are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processor.

• EZSchoolRide does not store full credit card or bank account details
• Users authorize Stripe to process payments related to rides
• EZSchoolRide charges a transparent platform service fee per ride

7. Safety Disclaimer

While EZSchoolRide prioritizes safety through verification, tracking, and reporting tools, users acknowledge that transportation involves inherent risks.

EZSchoolRide does not guarantee the actions or behavior of any user and encourages all participants to exercise caution, responsibility, and good judgment at all times.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• EZSchoolRide shall not be liable for accidents, injuries, damages, losses, or disputes arising from user conduct or transportation activities
• EZSchoolRide shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

9. Termination

EZSchoolRide may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time if a user violates these Terms, applicable laws, or community safety standards.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

EZSchoolRide may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
