EZSchoolRide is currently an invitation-only carpool coordination pilot within select school communities.
Safety and trust are important parts of how we are developing the pilot. Feedback from students and parents helps us understand what information families need when coordinating a carpool and how the platform can support clearer communication.
A Community Carpool Pilot
EZSchoolRide helps approved participants coordinate carpools within participating school communities.
EZSchoolRide is a technology coordination platform. It is not a transportation provider, does not operate vehicles, and does not employ drivers.
Participants and families remain responsible for deciding whether a particular driver, rider, route, or carpool arrangement is appropriate for them.
Parent and Guardian Involvement
Because many participants are minors, parent or guardian involvement or permission may be required before a minor participates in the pilot or uses certain features.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to review ride arrangements and discuss transportation expectations with their children.
Driver and Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for following applicable laws, school policies, and pilot requirements.
Anyone who drives as part of a carpool is responsible for meeting applicable driving requirements, including maintaining any driver's license and automobile insurance required by law.
EZSchoolRide does not supervise drivers or rides.
Information and Communication
The pilot is designed to make relevant ride information easier for participants to understand and coordinate.
Depending on the features being tested, participants may be able to view information needed to organize a ride and communicate with others involved in the carpool.
We continue to refine these features based on pilot feedback.
Privacy
We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate, evaluate, support, and improve the pilot.
Ride and participant information is handled as described in the EZSchoolRide Privacy Policy.
Reporting a Concern
Participants may report platform, privacy, or safety concerns to:
support@ezschoolride.comEZSchoolRide may review reported concerns and take appropriate action, including restricting or removing access to the pilot when reasonably necessary.
EZSchoolRide does not monitor rides in real time and is not an emergency-response service.
For an emergency or immediate threat to safety, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency authority.
Continuous Improvement
EZSchoolRide is still being developed and evaluated.
Safety-related features, processes, and pilot requirements may change as we learn from participants and continue improving the platform.
When a feature is still being developed or tested, we aim to describe it accordingly rather than represent it as a completed capability.
